Tuesday Class

Ages 10-15

In this exciting new class, students will explore the world of film where they’ll learn the differences between acting onstage, and acting for the camera. Using the 6 Tools of an Actor, students will focus on discovering the subtleties of film acting, and together will recreate favorite movie scenes or write new ones of their own which will be debuted in a final Red Carpet Premier that will include their final product.

Tuesday Class

Ages 7-9

Students will learn to apply the elements of drama by working on a legend, myth, or classical story. This class incorporates the building blocks for relationships on stage by learning to create and commit to character choices. Through different exercises and theatre games, students will gain self-confidence and stage presence as well as begin building the frame work of an actor. We recommend taking this class more than once.

Thursday Class

Ages 14+

Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.” Students will rock ‘n roll their way through the schoolhouse as they bring these classic songs and scenarios to life while learning teamwork, collaboration, and educational facts too! Schoolhouse Rock LIVE is part of FPCT’s season. This class will be a great compliment to attending the show in October. Meet the Cast: There will be a ‘Talk Back’ for students enrolled in this class.

Monday Class

Ages 5-7

Looking for a way to work out your funny bone? Then this is the class for you! Through improv games and sketches, students will learn to develop original characters and stories on the spot while striking comedy gold! Don’t miss the laughs, and a chance to find your inner comedian.

Costume Design: Madagascar Jr.

Monday Class

Ages 13-18

Learn how to analyze a script to create a costume plot, and design costumes with the use of a “croquis” or costume design sheet. Students will learn about different costume themes and styles, and will apply their skills in designing costumes for the Spring Academy Showcase of Madagascar Jr.

Elf Jr. (GREEN Cast)

This holiday musical is based on the cherished hit, Elf JR.
Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make every young performer embrace his or her “inner elf”.

Ages 8-15

Theatre Sports! This is a high-energy class for students of all levels of experience! Students will play acting games without a script, which will help them with their problem solving and creative thinking skills. Students will have fun as they explore the different outcomes of a scene while building self-confidence. Actors will think fast, take risks and work together as a team. The class will culminate in a comedy club performance.

Inspired by the hit musical Hamilton!, this class will engage students in history and musical theatre while letting them sing, dance, and act out their favorite scenes! Students will learn about the process of turning history into a smash hit musical while learning the art of rap and hip-hop along the way.
