FRIDAY class After-School Program At Your School

FPCT after-school programs are modifications of our general acting curriculum. The classes focus on developing the Actor’s Tool Box (Body, Voice, Mind, and Imagination) that inspires creativity and builds self-confidence. Students will be divided into age appropriate classes and meet after school one day a week for an hour. We will explore elements of theatre that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. On the final day of class, students will apply their skills in an informal sharing for family and friends. FPCT presents each student with a Certificate of Achievement at the end of each session.

Ages: 7-9

Learn to combine your theatre skills in our advanced acting class. Students will strengthen their performance abilities while focusing on acting, character development and technique while working on a one act drama.

HS: Playwriting Page to Stage

Tuesday Class

Ages: 10-15

Get ready to tap into your imagination! In this new class, students will spend the semester strengthening their creative writing skills by writing their own original plays. While experimenting with language, technique, and drafting, students will build confidence as writers while exercising critical thinking and discovering their inner playwright. At the end of the semester, students will bring their creations to life in a Reader’s Theatre style presentation.

HS: The Actor’s Toolbox

Tuesday Class

Ages: 5-6

The job of an actor is to tell a story, and in this class, students will focus on sharpening their storytelling skills by studying The 6 Tools of an Actor: Body, Voice, Mind, Imagination, Cooperation, and Heart. Each week students will face new challenges as they are asked to apply each of these skills to a different story or activity. We recommend taking this class more than once.

Monday Class

Ages 3-4

Lions and tigers and monkeys, oh my! In this class, imaginations will soar as students learn the basics of acting through games, crafts, and storytelling. By using teamwork and collaboration, young actors will discover the fun of working together while building confidence, making friends, and putting on a play.
